At Geist Jewelers, we feature a wide variety of high quality diamonds.
Diamonds are measured according to the 4Cs:
Cut: Cut refers to the shape of the diamond. Skillfully cut, diamond facets are enhanced to bring out optimum sparkle and light. Common cuts include: round brillian, oval, marquise, pear, heart, emerald, princess and cushion.
Color: Diamonds are measured by grades of colour ranging from D, which is colourless, to Z, which is a pale yellow.
Carat: Carat refers to a diamond's weight, not its size. One carat can be made out of a number of stones.
Clarity: The number of inclusions in the stone affect the diamond's transparency. Diamonds with very small or no inclusions are more unique. Clarity is FL if flawless; VVS if there is a very, very small inclusion; VS if there is a very small inclusion; S if there is a small inclusion; or I if there is an inclusion visible to the naked eye.
